Tea in Wonderland. Riding the Fire Horse with Courage and Care

There is something truly magical about returning to the energy that shaped you. I was born in 1966, the year of the Fire Horse, and in 2026 that cycle comes around again. This year, our Tea in Wonderland experience at the Gregangelo Museum feels amplified, alive, and fiercely relevant.
I am glad to have survived this tumultuous 60-year cycle with vigor, joy and extraordinary purpose. Over the past five years, I have even learned animal husbandry with horses, living up to my name as a ringmaster in the circus! I have participated in the miraculous process of training them, healing their wounds, riding, grooming, putting them down when necessary, and most importantly, simply being with them. The element of fire in the Chinese calendar represents courage, illumination, and the energy to transform. This is incredibly relevant this year, as humankind faces attacks from cowards in positions of power, who hide behind cosplay antics pretending to be fierce, doing deep damage to humankind, while revealing their own self-loathing and disgrace. But the people are awake. Especially here in America, a generation newly tested under such pressures, echoing the beginnings of the civil rights movement, where this lunar cycle began 60 years ago.
To me, the Fire Horse is a symbol of the power of unity, of gentle strength, of man and nature in partnership, and of the fire that ignites in our souls to help one another. Recently, I attended a most unlikely protest organized by high school students. At the onset, protesters were silver hairs like me, who also uprose during the civil rights movement at the beginning of the Fire Horse cycle. Now we are seeing youth rising once again at the end of the cycle. All generations are awake. All cultures, creeds, and colors are in solidarity. This is the year of the Fire Horse, when it is not only our duty to rise, but to protect one another, to be the cavalry for each other, peacefully and powerfully. Fire is not about retaliation or false fierceness. It is about shining bright. When we shine as brightly as we can, we outshine the weakening embers of those who wish to divide and destroy. This year, we rise together. The horse carries us forward, and together we shine, immersed in peaceful uprising and intuitive shared care. That shared care is what we offer in all of our experiences. But this lunar new year specifically belongs to the culture of our unique experience, Tea in Wonderland.

An intimate sanctuary at the Gregangelo Museum for the Year of the Fire Horse.
Tea in Wonderland is our longest running immersive experience. It is healing and provocative, playful, fun, and joyful. It is one of my favorite collaborations with Fabula Tea. Every cup of tea is a sip of history, wisdom, and possibility. Some leaves come from trees up to three thousand years old. You are literally drinking in knowledge and ancient energy with every sip.
Our tea leaf readings offer a playful yet powerful space to see your challenges with fresh eyes, awaken intuition, and honor your inner knowing.
Guests tell us this experience is
“The highlight of my night.” “So helpful.” “Fun, insightful, & unexpectedly magical.”
They leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more attuned to their inner wisdom, ready to step into the next chapter with courage, curiosity, and magic awake.
People come seeking clarity, self-trust, and gentle confirmation of what they already know. They leave with creative solutions, new possibilities, and the confidence to move forward free from the fog of the unknown.
This lunar new year, we invite you to enter the house, to be nourished, regenerated, and invigorated. The Fire Horse energy encourages us to live boldly and fully, to go after what we desire, and to honor our truest selves. Tea in Wonderland has always evolved with the seasons, and this year feels especially alive. Come drink in history, in magic, and in possibility, and leave renewed, ready to embrace and tackle your most honest and joyful life.
Bold, fearless, and fiercely alive, the Year of the Fire Horse reminds us to trust our own strength and follow our hearts. Its energy will empower you to move forward and lift others as you go. Solidarity is our strength, wealth, and collective power.
