THE EYE

There is a great Eye that oversees the universe. It is less grand than it sounds, the Eye would tell you, if it had a mouth. The Eye does not interfere. The Eye does not speak. The Eye sees and sees, into crevices of darkness and bursting spots of light, and for all that it is silent, the Eye offers kindness. It brings the comfort of bearing witness – it has seen every terrible and every grand thing. It watches silently and maybe it’s knowing makes you feel a little less alone.
