THE MESSIAH'S MOTHER

Once upon a time a baby boy was born to a tired young woman in a barn amongst sheep and goats and hay. Soon after, three men visited and declared her son Holy. The woman agreed with them, but not in the way they thought – she had simply never seen something so holy as the way his hand held onto hers, so tightly for one so small. The boy grew older and his mother was afraid that her son would be taken, either by people calling him holy or people calling him sinful. When the boy was killed, the woman did not get to say goodbye. They gave his body back to her, and she held his hand, weeping, until holiness seeped into the air and he clutched her hand back.

QUESTION:

Looking only at the spirituality of the word,

what is the holiest thing that you have ever experienced?

What is the closest you have come to the divine?
