ZEUS AND HIS FATHER

When Zeus was born, he was immediately swallowed. This birth and un-birth was all he knew for many years, sitting tight among his siblings in the cramped quarters of their father’s stomach. When he was big and strong, Zeus cut his father open from the inside and came free, guided his siblings into a blinking light. Zeus is the god of storms. He fashions lighting out of the air and he is not a good father, but he is better than his own.
